The 2020 Milton Keynes Liberal Democrat AGM is planned to take place online from 7pm on Thursday 5 November 2020. The AGM documents can be downloaded from links further down this page.
Traditionally the MK Lib Dem Local Party AGM would be a physical event, however due to the coronavirus pandemic it has been decided it will be online only this time (and not attempt a mixed event), due to the unpredictability for planning including possible further lockdowns.
Our guest speaker will be John Howson, Liberal Democrat candidate for Thames Valley in the May 2021 Police and Crime Commissioner elections, talking about his campaign and what the role involves, followed by an opportunity to ask him questions. John was candidate for the role in 2016 so already has experience to bring to his campaign.
To attend the online AGM you will need to RSVP for the event on the Lib Dem HQ website. While there will be an initial email thanking you for RSVPing, the details to join the Zoom call will be sent to the email address you signed up with closer to the time of the AGM. Please click here to go to the event page on the Lib Dem HQ website and RSVP using your details.
The documentation for the AGM is as follows (click to download):
The online meeting will be opened early by 6:30pm, and Zoom ‘breakout rooms’ will be used so those attending can chat to other local Lib Dems in smaller groups. The formal meeting will begin at 7pm, at which point the formal business, including reports and electing officers for the 2021 Executive will take place. There will be some opportunities for Q&A, during which attendees will need to use the Zoom ‘raise hand’ button to get the attention of the meeting Host.
