Milton Keynes Council has today announced its progressive Council Plan, which sets out how the Council will work to achieve a bold and fair recovery for Milton Keynes from the pandemic.
The Progressive Alliance is delivering the priorities of the people of Milton Keynes. Working cross-party, they will use the Plan to deliver progress for Milton Keynes in 5 key priorities:
The Progressive Alliance between the Labour and Liberal Democrat Groups on the Council have a majority of seats that represent the broad electorate. They run a majority administration with a Labour Leader and Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader.
Councillor Pete Marland, Labour Leader of the Council, said: “This is a Council Plan that puts people before politics. We need a prosperous, green and fair recovery from the pandemic, and this Plan can help deliver that.”
Liberal Democrat Councillor and Deputy Leader of the Council, Robin Bradburn, said: “Our city is facing the aftermath of a pandemic, the deepest recession for 300 years and the impact of Brexit. We need a plan to help us through, and this is that plan. It shows that the Liberal Democrats and Labour are putting party politics aside to really deliver for the residents of Milton Keynes.”Leave a comment
