Most residents will now know that the Household Waste Recycling Centres, more commonly know as ‘the tip’ have reopened, but due to the Coronavirus crisis you need to book a slot in advance.
The Lib Dems have been pressurising the Council to increase the number of slots, and we are delighted to inform you that the number of slots has been increased by 67%.
You can book by phone on 01908-252811, and we have been informed that the wait time to get through has reduced.
You can also now book on line at https://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/waste-recycling/community-recycling-centres-tips.
The Council take bookings up to seven days in advance, and they release new slots every day on a rolling basis.
You must be a Milton Keynes resident to book a slot and you will need to know the registration number of the vehicle you will be using to go to the tip.
There are tips at Bleak Hall, New Bradwell and Newport Pagnell.
Somebody needs to take a look at the red way off Watling Street behind the Seikh Temple at Kiln Farm. It is becoming a known place for fly tipping and last night yet again another load arrived blocking the red way. I have reported it twice since December to the council and it’s still there. Someone is going to get hurt as this is often used by cyclists and walkers.
Thanks for getting in touch. If you received a reference number when you first reported it can you send it to [email protected] or if not let us know that and I’ll get a new one generated. A reference number will make it easier for us to chase and get it sorted!
